The Kwara State Government has disclosed that the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) Project will attract investors to the State, thereby making Kwara an economic hub in the country.

The State Project Coordinator, Kwara SAPZ Project, Engr. Dr. Busari Toyin Isiaka, stated this while appearing on Kwara TV's live programme KWARA NETWORK.

Busari, who eulogised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his noble discretion in expanding wealth opportunities for the residents of the state through a livestock-based agro-industrialisation project said that Kwara will soon become a cynosure to other states in the nation especially in the area of dairy and beef production.

He added that when the project is ready, there will be massive employment opportunities, noting that the specialisation hallmark of the project will bring about comparative advantages to all the value chains of livestock production.

The project, which he explained, is designed to foster economic growth, enhance food and nutritional security, will guarantee a ready-made market for production to encourage farmers and ensure maximum profits for them.

The coordinator then disclosed that the Kwara SAPZ Project entails three ATCs (Agricultural Transformation Centers) and One AIH (Agro-Industrial Hub), where the end-market will take place after receiving materials from the ATCs.

Busari further explained that the project will be of great benefit to the grassroot livestock farmers and other categories of farmers in the State, assuring female farmers of the necessary support and consideration for them to thrive in the farming business.

Dr. Sangodare Ayinla,

KMCO,
