The morning sun casts long shadows across the newly installed processing facility in Kwara State's SAPZ hub, where local farmer Aisha Mohammed tends to her cassava harvest. "Before SAPZ, we lost nearly 40% of our produce to spoilage," she recalls. "Now, with these modern facilities, we're not just preserving our harvest – we're transforming it into high-value products."

This transformation isn't unique to Aisha's story. Across Kwara State, SAPZ's implementation of modern processing facilities is revolutionizing local farming communities. From automated grain processing systems to cold storage solutions, these technological advancements are reducing post-harvest losses by an impressive 35% and increasing farmer incomes by up to 40%.

"The SAPZ project has been a game-changer for us," says Amina Usman, a maize farmer in Kwara's Edu Local Government Area. "I used to struggle to find reliable buyers and lost so much of my crop to rotting. Now, I can store my harvest in the SAPZ silos and sell directly to processors, earning a much better price."
